In a unexpected crossover event that breaks usual forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Uncovered

According to the authorized release, "A mysterious confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where hints of forbidden practices and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The plot features a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden cult.

The adventure focuses on "strange tests and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Changes

The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Additional Material

Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an unique katana together with numerous items hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
